JUDGMENT

The petitioner herein, has approached this Court seeking to exercise the jurisdiction vested on it under Article 227 of the Constitution of India and direct the Family Court, Thiruvananthupuram to dispose of O.P.No.466/2013 pending on it's file within a stipulated time. In the nature of the relief sought, the respondent would in no way be prejudicially affected and therefore, notice to him is dispensed with. A report is called for from the Family Court, Thiruvananthapuram. The report dated 03/11/2015, obtained from the Family Court, Thiruvananthapuram, is to the effect that an Advocate Commissioner was appointed in O.P.No.466/2013 and his report is awaited on
O.P.(F.C)No. 343 of 2015 -209/11/2015. It is also reported by the Family Court Judge that a large number of old cases are pending before the said court. Neverthless, the learned Judge Family Court has expressed his expectation that the case could be disposed of, within a period of four months after the date of filing of a report by the Advocate Commissioner.
In the aforesaid circumstances, the O.P(F.C.) is disposed off, with a direction to the judge, Family Court, Thiruvananthapuram, to take all earnest efforts to dispose off the matter within the period of time as undertaken by the said court.
