Ashok Bhushan, C.J Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the appellant KSRTC submits that during the pendency of the writ appeals, a notification dated 16.7.2013 has been issued by the Government of Kerala in relation to Fast Passenger services. Learned counsel submits that in view of the said notification, the issues raised in the writ appeals have become infructuous. Learned counsel further submits that the notification dated 16.7.2013 has already been upheld by this Court in the judgment in Kerala State Limited Stop/Stage Carriage Operators Association v. Government of Kerala [2014 (2) KLT 135], against which a writ appeal has been filed and which is pending.

In the above view of the matter, we are of the opinion that no useful purpose shall be served in proceeding with these writ appeals. Hence, these writ appeals are closed. Sd/- ASHOK BHUSHAN CHIEF JUSTICE Sd/- A.M. SHAFFIQUE JUDGE Jvt
