JUDGMENT

The petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to permit the petitioner to appear for the remaining paper of B.Tech 4th and 5th semester examination.

2. In the counter affidavit filed by the respondent, it is stated that the petitioner had indulged in malpractice in the 5th semester examination held in December 2007 and as per the minutes of the Syndicate Standing Committee on Examination and Students' Discipline, Welfare & Grievances dated 14.4.2008, the said examination taken by the petitioner had been cancelled and he had been debarred from appearing in any University examinations earlier than May 2008. Subsequently, he had appeared

WPC No.576/2008 2 for the 5th semester supplementary examination in May 2008 with Register Number 377805 and also appeared for the remaining B.Tech semester examinations. It is also stated that B.Tech original Degree certificate in respect of the petitioner had been issued on 9.2.2010.

As there is no surviving cause of action, this writ petition is closed.
