JUDGMENT
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of certiorari to quash Exts.P6 and P7 and a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to grant him the scale of pay of Assistant Professor senior scale (Rs.3000 - 5000/-) with effect from 21.06.1988 and the scale of pay of Associate Professor (Rs.3700-5700/-) with effect from 29.01.1996 with all consequential benefits. By interim order dated 26.02.2007, this Court ordered that the petitioner shall be paid salary and allowances at the pre-revised rate provisionally for a period of one month which interim order was later revived and extended for a further period of two months on 10.07.2007.
2. Today, when the case was taken up for final hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed in view of University Order bearing No.GA/C2/23346/99 dated 25.08.2007. The learned counsel has also pointed out that the petitioner has already
W.P.(C) No.4320 /2007 retired from service on superannuation and in such circumstances, no further orders are necessary in this writ petition.
