JUDGMENT

The petitioner having reached the age of superannuation of 55, sought for continuance till 58 years, since there was a proposal for enhancement of the retirement age in the respondent-Corporation.

2. At the time of admission, by order dated 23.02.2007, the petitioner was permitted to be continued in service until further orders.

3. Though the retirement age was raised to 58 only subsequently in the year 2011, the petitioner would have retired in the year 2010. In such circumstance, the writ petition is infructuous and the same is dismissed. However, any claim for backwages or fixation of retirement age in accordance with the subsequent amendments made, the same can be agitated before the Corporation.
