JUDGMENT

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent.

2. The writ petition is filed seeking a direction directing the respondent to deposit the award amount with interest and costs as stated in E.P.No.181/2012 in OP(MV) No.769/2010 on the file of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Kollam within a time limit and for other reliefs.

3. Petitioner herein is the claimant in OP(MV) No.769/2010. Ext.P1 is the copy of the award by which the Tribunal directed the respondent to deposit `3,60,000/- with 7.5% interest and cost of `5,000/-. The Tribunal further directed that the award amount shall be deposited within three months, failing which the petitioners are entitled to get interest at 9% per annum.

4. Learned Standing Counsel for the respondent on

-2W.P.(C).No.3292/2012 instructions submits that the amount due to the petitioner will be paid within a period of six months.
