1.Heard the learned counsel for the appellant and the learned Senior Government Pleader.
2.Perused affidavit. Heard. We are satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown to condone the delay in instituting this writ appeal. Hence, the C.M.Application is allowed. 3.On to the merits, we see that the learned single Judge has refused to interfere with a demand for payment of motor vehicles tax for the period from 01.10.2015 to 31.12.2015. The learned single Judge also refused to grant any relief to facilitate the appellant to pay the said amount in installments because it was noted that the statute does not provide for any installment facility for remitting
WA2621/15 -2tax for the current quarter. However, the learned single Judge was indulgent to enlarge the time. We see no ground to interfere with the impugned judgment. This writ appeal, therefore, fails. In the result, this writ appeal is dismissed in limine. (THOTTATHIL B.RADHAKRISHNAN, JUDGE) (ANU SIVARAMAN, JUDGE) jg-7/12
