.................................................................... W.A.No.2630 of 2015 .................................................................... Dated this the 21st day of December, 2015.

J U D G M E N T

Thottathil B.Radhakrishnan, J.

Read order dated 04.12.2015. Today, it is pointed out by the learned Central Government Standing Counsel and the learned counsel for the second respondent that the Department of Financial Services in the Ministry of Finance, Government of India has decided to convey that the said Department has no objection for the changes suggested by the Ministry of Agriculture through its letters dated 18.11.2015 and 30.11.2015 on the subject and the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) may take up the matter with participating PSBs/IBA at its level. Therefore, for the recruitment in question, the IBPS may decide appropriately and act in terms of what is stated today on its behalf through the memo filed by its learned counsel. That will redress the grievances raised by the writ appellants, who are the writ petitioners. The writ appeal is ordered accordingly in modification of the judgment of the learned single

WA2630/15 -2Judge. However, it is also clarified that since the matter is essentially one which would have bearing on policy decisions of governance through different Ministries and Departments, this judgment is not intended to finally settle any particular issue relating to the prescriptions of qualifications in future, and this judgment will not stand in the way of any decision being taken by the competent authority in this regard, from time to time. The contentions of the writ appellants in that regard are also left open. (THOTTATHIL B.RADHAKRISHNAN, JUDGE) (ANU SIVARAMAN, JUDGE) jg-21/12
