JUDGMENT

The petitioner retired as Section Officer from the Regional Agricultural Research Station under the Kerala Agricultural University. The petitioner approached this Court on account of non-disbursal of the pensionary benefits.

2. The learned Standing Counsel for the University submits that it is on account of financial constraints, the respondent University is unable to disburse the pensionary benefits due to the petitioner. The Standing Counsel requests for some more time to disburse the entire benefits to the petitioner.

3. Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case, there will be a direction to the respondent-University to release the entire pensionery benefits due to the petitioner on or before 30/6/2015 . It is open for the respondent-University to pay either in installment or lump sum. If the University

fails to pay the amount within the time stated above, the amount will carry interest at the rate of 6% with effect from 1/7/2015 onwards.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
