JUDGMENT
The petitioner participated in the event 'Nadodi Nrithum'(Folk Dance) in the Sub District level competition in the Boys Higher Secondary School Krunagappally. It is stated that the competition scheduled at 2.30 pm on 2.12.2014 was stated only at 12.30 am on 3.12.2014. The inordinate delay in the commencement of the competition affected the performance of the petitioner and hence the writ petition.
2. The learned Government Pleader submits on instructions that, there is no pith of substance in the contentions raised. The petitioner was awarded 79, 77 & 74 marks by the three judges and the 1st prize winner got 82, 76 and 77 marks. The petitioner is in the 5th place and the marks were awarded uniformly.
3. After going through the pleadings and proceedings and the contents of Ext.P4 order of appeal committee, this Court finds that the petitioner has not established any tenable ground to call for interference. Accordingly, interference is declined and the writ petition is dismissed.
P.R. RAMACHANDRA MENON, JUDGE.
