JUDGMENT

Petitioner submits that she has been working as Kazhakom for the last 32 years in the Sree Poomukathu Kavu Bhagavathy Temple under the Sakthikulangara Sub Group under the Travancore Devaswom Board. It is further submitted that petitioner's mother was originally carrying the work of Kazhakom and Adichutali and on account of illness from 1982 onwards, petitioner has been doing the above work. Petitioner relies on various documents to substantiate the various claims of uninterrupted service for the last 32 years. Petitioner approached this Court seeking direction to the respondents to regularize her employment either as Adichutali or Kazhakom. Petitioner approached the President of the Devaswom Board (2nd respondent) by Ext.P7 representation for regularization. 2.

Considering the fact that petitioner's request has not been so far taken up either by the Devaswom Board or Assistant Devaswom Commissioner, I am of the view, 2nd respondent shall place Ext.P7 before the first respondent for appropriate decision. The first respondent is directed to take a decision in the matter within a period of two months after adverting to the relevant records relied by the petitioner. The Writ Petition is disposed of.
