J U D G M E N T

The petitioner was a participant in 'Kuchippudy' competition in the High School level held on 02.12.2014. According to the petitioner, though the petitioner performed well, after evaluation she was awarded only the 4th place with A Grade. Hence an appeal was preferred, contending that there was electricity voltage fluctuation which led to the reduction of sound and dimming of light on the stage. But the appeal was dismissed as borne by Ext.2, which in turn is under challenge in this writ petition.

Heard the learned Government Pleader as well, who submits that there was no voltage fluctuation and there was no complaint regarding the voltage and sound system. It is also pointed out that the first prize winner got 251 marks, whereas the petitioner could secure only 241 marks and as such there is a substantial margin of 10 marks. It is stated that there was uniform awarding of marks.

Considering the facts and circumstances, this Court finds that there is no tenable ground. Interference is declined and the writ petition is dismissed.
