JUDGMENT

This writ petition is filed with the following prayers; ''a) call for the records connected with the above case b) Issue a writ of mandamus to the respondents, either to acquire the land proposed for acquisition of the Amballur Electronics Park in Amballur village, Kanayannur thaluk within a time frame, after paying adequate compensation to the petitioner and to the respective land owners and implementing the rehabilitation package or in the alternative to issue a direction to the respondents to drop the acquisition proceedings of the respective lands after paying adequate compensation to the petitioner and to the owners, for the losses sustained to them due to the idling of their land in the light of the proposal by the government for acquisition of the land vide Exhibit-P3 and consequent Exhibit P8 order.

c) pass any other orders which are deemed fit and proper in the circumstances of the above case. d) award the costs of the petition.''

Today, when this matter is taken up, the learned counsel for the 1st respondent submits that the proceedings for acquisition initiated earlier has lapsed.
