The petitioner's teams had participated in the event -'Nadan Pattu' in the recently held Sub District Level Competition. It is stated that because of defective mike system, they could not perform to the expected level and they could secure only the 4th position. The case of the petitioner is that, though an appeal was filed, the same was not properly entertained, leading to Ext.P1 order of the appeal Committee, whereby the appeal was rejected , which in turn is sought to be intercepted.
2. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well, who submits on instruction that there is absolutely no merit in the contention raised. No defect was there in the sound system and no such instance was reported by the Stage Manager. It is also pointed out that the judges have awarded marks in a Uniform pattern and that there is substantial difference of '27' marks between the marks obtained by the petitioner's team and the first prize winner's team. This Court does not find any tenable ground to call for interference. The writ petition is dismissed.
