J U D G M E N T

The writ petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus for effective investigation in Crime No.480/2014 of Karunagappally Police Station. Now there is report that the investigation is over, and the police has filed final report in court. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the proceeding without prejudice to the right of the petitioner to seek other appropriate relief if possible, including further investigation under Section 173(8) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Permission for withdrawal is granted on submission. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn without prejudice to the right of the petitioner to seek any other appropriate relief possible under the law, including the relief of further investigation under Section 173(8) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
