J U D G M E N T

The petitioner herein is the defacto complainant in Crime No.1236/2014 of the Vadakkekkad Police Station, registered under Sections 447 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code. He seeks a writ of mandamus for a proper and effective investigation in the crime. Now there is a report by the Sub Inspector of Police, Vadakkekkad that investigation is in progress effectively, that the investigating officer has already arrested the first accused on 14.1.2015, and that earnest attempts are being made to locate and arrest the other accused also. It appears that the writ petitioner is now satisfied. I find that effective investigation is in progress in the crime, and at this stage Court interference is not required. The report submitted by the police can be recorded, and the writ petition can be closed. Accordingly, the report submitted by the Sub Inspector of Police is recorded, and the writ petition is closed, however with direction that effective investigation shall be made and final report shall be submitted without any delay.
