J U D G M E N T

Ashok Bhushan, Ag.CJ This writ petition filed as a public interest litigation prays for a direction commanding respondents to consider and take appropriate decision concerning the implementation of the recommendations of the Law Commission of India regarding establishment of separate investigating police for investigation of crimes.

2. Counter affidavit on behalf of the third respondent has already been filed on 29.1.2014. In the counter affidavit, reference has been made to Government Orders dated 27.12.2006 and 24.8.2012. It is submitted that the Government has accepted the recommendations and principles and is taking measures to implement the same. Learned Government Pleader also submits that in so far as Kochi and Kozhikode Districts, the directions have already been implemented.

3. In view of the fact that Government has already accepted

WP(c) No. 4851/2008 the principles and recommendations and the process of implementation has already been initiated, we see no reason to continue the public interest litigation any further.
