JUDGMENT
The petitioner was a participant in the 'Kerala Nadanam (Girls)' held recently in the Kollam Revenue District Level Youth festival. Despite the best performance stated as put in by her, she was not selected to perform at State level. Appeal preferred against the decision, also referring to 'slipping of carpet', came to be rejected as borne by Ext. P4, which made the petitioner to approach this Court by filing the present writ petition.
2. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well, who submits that there is a substantial margin of '22 marks' between the petitioner and the first prize winner. It is pointed out that the first prize winner got 245 marks, whereas the petitioner could secure only 223 marks. It is added that the appellate committee has evaluated the merits after viewing the video recording. Moreover, the same stage/carpet was made use of by all the participants and that the allegation is wrong.
W.P.(C) No. 1226 of 2015 : 2 :
3. Considering the facts and circumstances, this Court finds that there is no tenable ground. Interference is declined and the writ petition is dismissed.
