JUDGMENT

The petitioner, who is working as a Meter Reader in Electrical Section at Cherplacherry of the Kerala State Electricity Board, has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus commanding respondents 1 and 2 to fill up the 10% quota for in-service candidates to the post of Sub Engineer (Electrical) from List II of Ext.P5 only and for other consequential reliefs.

2. By order dated 18.4.2006, this Court granted an interim direction to the effect that vacancies earmarked for recruitment to 10% quota reserved for in-service candidates shall not be filled up from open merit candidates.

3. Today, when the case was taken up for final hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in view of the interim order, no further orders are required and therefore, this writ petition may be closed.
