JUDGMENT
The petitioner participated in the events 'Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattom, Kuchuppudi, Group Song and Patriotic Song' in the District Level School Kalolsavam and secured 1st place with A grade in Patriotic song. In the remaining four events the petitioner was granted A Grade with 2nd place. The appeal was rejected by the Appeal Committee as per Exts.P5, P6 and P7 orders allegedly without considering the contention that the performance was affected by the defective light setting and dust on the stage and hence the writ petition.
2. The learned Government Pleader submits on instructions that, there is no pith of substance in the contentions raised. The video was viewed and there is a difference of 3 marks. Moreover, the petitioner participated through appeal and did not meet the requisite norms. The allegation, with regard to the defective light setting and dust on the stage is wrong and that it was applicable to all participants. Further, there was no such report from the stage manager.
W.P.C. No. 1322 of 2015 -23. After going through the pleadings and proceedings and the submissions of the learned Government Pleader, this Court finds that the petitioner has not established any tenable ground to call for interference. Accordingly, interference is declined and the writ petition is dismissed.
P.R. RAMACHANDRA MENON, JUDGE.
