J U D G M E N T

The petitioner was a regular permit holder in the route Mundukottakkal-Pathanamthitta, which permit was expired on 22.05.2011. The petitioner made an application for renewal in time. Since the vehicle was met with an accident, the petitioner produced another vehicle on lease agreement and applied for replacement. The petitioner submits that since the renewal as well as replacement applications were pending consideration before the respondent authority, the petitioner submitted an application for temporary permit under Section 87(1) (d), by Ext.P3 application dated 27.12.2014.

In such circumstance, there shall be a direction to the respondent Authority to consider Exts.P1 and P2 applications for renewal and replacement, if the same is received in time, within a period of three months from

today. In the meanwhile if there is no impediment, the authority shall consider Ext.P3 application for temporary permit for four months and issue the same, within two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this judgment. Writ petition is disposed of.
