JUDGMENT
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Grama Panchayath, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself.
2. Briefly stated, the petitioner Society is said to be a beneficiary of Jalanidhi Water Supply Scheme. From the record, it is discernible that as per the said scheme 75% of the total cost is to be contributed by the Government and 15% by the Grama Panchayath, apart from 10% by the beneficiary group. To fructify the scheme, though the Government's contribution has already been deposited, it has not so far been handed over to the petitioner Society. In that regard, the Society is said to have submitted Ext.P4 representation to the 2nd respondent, who is yet to consider it. Aggrieved by what is
W.P.(C.) No. 1556/2015 -2said to be the delay on the part of the second respondent in considering Ext.P4 representation, the petitioner has approached this Court.
In the facts and circumstances, having regard to the respective submissions of the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's Ext.P4 representation in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
