J U D G M E N T

Ashok Bhushan, Ag.CJ Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader. No notice is being issued to the 4th respondent in view of the judgment being passed today.

By this writ petition , petitioners have prayed for a mandamus commanding respondents 1 to 3 to afford adequate and effective police protection to the life of petitioners and their family members from the threat of 4th respondent. Petitioners' case in the writ petition is that the 4th respondent is engaged in money lending business and although the petitioners had repaid the money borrowed with interest, still threat is being extended. A complaint dated 13/01/2015 is seen sent by the petitioners by post to

respondents 1 to 3.

The learned Government Pleader submits that on instruction by the 1st respondent, preliminary investigation has been started and the authorities are of the opinion that as on date, there is no threat to the petitioners. It is further submitted that police are keeping vigil and shall ensure that no law and order situation arises in future.
