The writ petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to make effective investigation in Crime No.170/2002 of the Munambom Police Station. Now there is a report that investigation is over, and that the police can submitted final report without any delay. The police has actually been waiting for sanction from Government for prosecution under Section 153(A) of the Indian Penal Code. Now there is a government order to delete Section 153(A) and submit final report in court under Section 153 (B) of IPC. The investigating officer has been taking necessary steps to act accordingly, and I find that the final report will be submitted soon. The report submitted by the police is accordingly recorded with direction to submit final report without any delay, and this writ petition is closed.
