JUDGMENT
These Writ Petitions are filed by Assistant Executive Engineers (Electrical) at Generation Sub Division, Generation Circle, Moolamattom, Idukki. By the transfer order issued by the second respondent Chief Engineer of the Kerala State Electricity Board, petitioners have been transferred to different places. Petitioners submit that though transfer orders have been passed, no action has been taken to relieve them to join to the stations where they have been transferred.

It is submitted by the learned Standing Counsel for the Kerala State Electricity Board that it is on account of non-availability of substitutes to man the post held by the petitioners, Board is unable to relieve them even after the transfer orders were passed.

Considering the facts and circumstances, I am of the view, when transfer orders have been passed, having taking note of the exigencies of the service, the authorities are bound to relieve them to join in the places where they have been transferred. In view of the above, petitioners shall be relieved
W.P(C).Nos.2168, 2189 and 2206 of 2015 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment.
Writ Petitions are disposed of.
