JUDGMENT

Petitioners retired from the service of the Kerala Agricultural University as Bus Attendant Senior Grade. The petitioners submit that they were retired in the year 2013 and no retirement benefits have been given to him except monthly pension. As far as the second petitioner is concerned, his commuted pension has been disbursed but the DCRG is with held. However, it is submitted that in respect of the first petitioner, the DCRG as well as the commuted pension has not been paid. Accordingly, the petitioners have approached this Court.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the University would submit that on account of the financial difficulty of the University, they are unable to pay the liability. It is further submitted that they would discharge the entire

W.P.(C) No.3072 of 2015 2 liability due to the petitioners within a period of six months. Considering the facts and circumstances, the University is given time upto 30.6.2015 to pay the entire liability to the petitioners. It is open for the University to pay the amount in monthly instalment or lump sum. However, if the University fails to pay the amount within the time indicated above, it will carry interest at the rate of 6% from 1.7.2015 onwards. The writ petition is disposed of as above.
