....................................................... W.P. (C ) No. 3798 of 2015 - Y ....................................................... Dated this the 6th day of February, 2015 JUDGMENT/ORDER Shaffique, J.
Petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following reliefs:
") Issue a writ of mandamus directing the Ist respondent to take urgent actions to implement Ext. P2 ii) Issue a writ of mandamus directing the Ist respondent to take actions against the authorities who did not implement Ext. P2 iii) Such other reliefs which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and necessary in the circumstances of the case and the costs of this case". 2.
It is inter alia contended that despite the issuance of Ext. P2 dated 18-9-2012, the directions therein has not been complied with. In Ext. P2, the Government had directed that the board indicating "official language- Malayalam", all applications must be given in Malayalam and must be kept in all
W.P.C. No. 3798 of 2015 offices, the boards of Government Offices showing the name of the officers, on the vehicles must also be in Malayalam language. It is also directed that an officer must be appointed to verify the implementation of orders relating to official language.
3. A perusal of the Writ Petition does not disclose any specific contention that these orders have not been complied with. Even otherwise, if the petitioner has a case that the directions in Ext. P2 have not been complied with by any Government Departments, it is always open for the petitioner to make a representation to the Head of the Department concerned. We do not think it necessary for this Court to issue any direction to Government in this regard, by treating this case as a Public Interest Litigation.
Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed.
