The petitioner seeks for a temporary permit in the route Chavara - Kottiyam on a defaulted vacancy. 2.
The learned Government Pleader on instructions submits that, the default occurred only due to the pendency of the renewal application and now the renewal has been granted to the original permit holder. It is also submitted that pending production of current records and issuance of the regular permit, the petitioner can be permitted to operate on a temporary permit, subject however, to any preferential claim made by the permit holder itself.
3. In such circumstance, on the aforesaid conditions, the temporary permit application shall be considered and issued within a period of one week. The writ petition is disposed of.
