JUDGMENT

Petitioner is presently working as Head Operator in Kerala Water Authority. Petitioner claims that his original appointment as Operator was in the year 1984. petitioner's grievance is that he possess sufficient qualification and so, is eligible for promotion as a Mechanical Superintendent. Water Authority published the seniority list of Head Operators on 01.03.2013. In the seniority list, petitioner's serial No. is 69. It is submitted by the petitioner that overlooking petitioner's seniority juniors have been considered for promotion. The party respondents are some of the juniors who were considered for promotion as Mechanical Superintendent overlooking the seniority of petitioners.

Petitioner raised a complaint before the Managing Director by Ext.P3 against denial of promotion to him and promoting juniors to the post of Head Operator. The limited request made before this Court is an early disposal of Ext.P3 by the first respondent.

In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P3 within a period of four weeks after hearing the petitioner and party respondents from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The Writ Petition is disposed of.
