JUDGMENT

The petitioner, who is the holder of passport bearing No. L4899540, is stated as aggrieved of adverse police verification report, leading to Ext. P1 surrender certificate issued by the respondent. Hence the writ petition with the following prayers : "(i) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or such other writ, direction or orders directing the 1st respondent to consider and dispose Exhibit P2. (ii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or such st other writ direction or orders directing the 1 respondent to issue the passport bearing passport No. L 4899540 to the petitioner.

(iii) Issue any such other writ, direction or orders, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper considering the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice.

2. Heard the learned Central Government Counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Government Pleader appearing for the second respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already projected his grievance in Ext. P2, which is pending consideration before the first respondent and that the petitioner will be satisfied, if a direction is given to the said respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders thereon.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances, this Court does not find it necessary to adjudicate the matter on merits. The writ petition is disposed of, directing the first respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext. P2 representation, in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

Petitioner shall produce a copy of this judgment along with copy of the writ petition before the first respondent for further steps.
