JUDGMENT

The petitioner seeks for re-issuance of temporary permit, which was applied for in the route Kozhenchery - Pathanapuram, admittedly in a defaulted vacancy. The learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that, the temporary permit was issued in a defaulted vacancy since the route bus was under Police custody on a dispute between the financier and the permit holder. However, later on, the permit holder has surrendered the permit and has obtained the clearance certificate of the vehicle on 06.02.2015. In such circumstances, there is no default existing as of now, is the contention. There is no regular permit application also by the petitioner. In such circumstances, what is required; is for the RTA to consider the application filed and dispose it of within a period of two weeks.

Writ petition disposed of.
