The writ petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus directing effective legal investigation in a crime relating to a motor accident. His apprehension is that the police would wrongly and illegally arraigned him as accused in the crime. Now there is report from the police that the police has already arrested the actual accused in the crime, and that the police has never thought of arraigning the petitioner as accused in the crime. In such a situation, the writ petitioner cannot have any apprehension, and the writ petition need not proceed. The report submitted by the police is recorded, and the writ petition is accordingly closed.
