JUDGMENT
Shaffique, J.
Petitioner, being the President of Manimalarkkavu Devi Temple Committee, has approached this Court seeking direction to the police authorities to render necessary police protection in the matter relating to conduct of festival 'Kuthira Vela' scheduled to be held from 22.02.2015 to 26.02.2015.
2. It is submitted that there were certain incidents by which certain members of the Committee has raised objections during 2014 and the petitioner had approached this Court seeking adequate police protection. Ext.P3 is the judgment dated 03.03.2014 in W.P.(C) No.4759 of 2014. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that though the participants and the committee members have agreed to conduct the festival peacefully, there is apprehension of law and order in the matter and is such an event the public at large would be put to severe hardship.
WP(C) No. 5427 of 2015 -:2:-
3. Learned Government Pleader would submit that in the previous year appropriate police protection has been granted in the matter and this year also sufficient police force will be deputed to maintain law and order situation.
Having regard to the submission of learned Government Pleader, we do not think it necessary to issue any order as such. Recording the submission of learned Government Pleader, we close the Writ Petition.
