J U D G M E N T
The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers:
"1) a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction to the first respondent to dispose of S.M.No.85 of 2015 within a reasonable time.
ii) such other relief's as this Hon'ble Court deems fit to grant in the nature of this case."
2. The petitioner is the owner of the property having an extent of 18.62 Ares of land comprised in Re.Sy.No. 356/1 in Perumanna Village in Tirur Taluk. Petitioner is aggrieved of pendency of SM.No.85 of 2015 ( in respect of the above property) before the Deputy Collector (Land Reforms), Malappuram. Hence this writ petition. The limited prayer pressed before this Court is for issuance of a direction to the concerned respondent to consider and finalise the pending proceedings at the earliest.
3. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well.
4. Considering the limited nature of the relief sought for,
W.P.(C)No. 5559 OF 2015 this Court does not find it necessary to adjudicate the issue on merits. The writ petition is disposed of, directing the first respondent/Deputy Collector, (Land Reforms) Malappuram to consider and finalise the SM proceedings 85 of 2015, in accordance with law, at the earliest, any rate, within 'six months' from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment. The petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the first respondent/Deputy Collector, Land Reforms, Malappuram for further steps.
