J U D G M E N T

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers:

"i) issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ order or direction commanding respondents 1 to 3 to appoint a member to the vacancy arose consequent upon the retirement of Sri K.E. Gangadharan and to ensure that regular sitting are conducted in the northern zone;

ii) issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ order or direction commanding respondents 1 to 3 to dispose of Exts.P1 to P3 forthwith;

iii) grant such other reliefs which this Hon'ble Court deems just and necessary and that may be prayed for by the petitioner while hearing the W.P

2. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instruction, submits that the grievance projected by the petitioner has already been considered and that steps are being taken to appoint a Member to the vacancy which arose

W.P.(C)No.5644 OF 2015 consequent to to the retirement of a non-judicial member of the Kerala State Human Rights Commission/K.E. Gangadharan and to ensure that regular sitting is conducted in the Northern Zone.

3. In the above circumstances, this Court does not find it necessary to pass any further order and the writ petition is disposed of, recording the submission made by the learned Government Pleader, as above, however making it clear that the steps, as above, shall be finaliseid at the earliest at any rate, within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment. The petitioner shall shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the concerned respondent for further steps.
