JUDGMENT

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner, a resident of Kottappadi Grama Panchayat of Ernakulam District, aggrieved by the division of the said Grama Panchayat as per Exhibit P1, submitted Exhibit P2 statutory objection before the first respondent. Ventilating his grievance that Exhibit P2 has not so far been disposed of, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3. In the facts and circumstances, having regard to the respective submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, this Court disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's Exhibit P2 objection in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as

W.P(C) No.6037 of 2015 expeditiously as possible, at any rate, before the final list of Panchayats to be formed is drawn.
