JUDGMENT

The petitioner is stated as the absolute owner of the property having an extent of 17 Ares comprised in Re-Sy No. 158/3 of Valavannur Village as per Ext.P1 sale deed. On obtaining the property as above, the petitioner moved the respondent to effect mutation of the property according to the Transfer of Registry Rules. Ext.P2 is the receipt given after receiving the application for effecting mutation. Nothing has transpired in the positive, and hence the writ petition.

2. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well.

3. After hearing both the sides, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent to consider and finalize the application stated as preferred by the petitioner for effecting mutation. The proceedings as above shall be finalized in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, at the earliest, at any rate, within' 'six weeks' from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the respondent for further steps. Sd/- P.R. RAMACHANDRA MENON, JUDGE.
