J U D G M E N T

-------------------------- Petitioners have retired from Kerala Agricultural University on attaining the age of superannuation. The 1st petitioner retired on 31.5.2007. The 2nd petitioner retired on 31.5.2007. The 3rd petitioner retired on 31.1.2008. The 4th petitioner retired on 31.12.2006. The petitioner approached this Court alleging inaction on the part of respondents to disburse DA arrears and other pensionary benefits based on Exts.P1 to P4.

The learned Standing Counsel for the Agricultural University submits that one year time is required to disburse the pensionary benefits due to the petitioners. 3.

Considering the facts and circumstances, there shall be a direction to the University to disburse the entire monetary benefits due to the petitioners within a period of six months from today. It is open for the University to pay the entire amount in monthly instalment or in lump sum

W.P.(C).No.6404 of 2015 within the time stipulated as above. If the University fails to disburse the amount within the time stipulated as above, it will carry interest at the rate of 6% from the date of default. The writ petition is disposed of as above.
