JUDGMENT

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers:

I.

To issue a writ of mandamus or any appropriate order or direction to the respondent to dispose of Ext.P3 within such period as directed by this Hon'ble Court.

II.

Pass such other writ order or direction that this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case and to direct the respondent to pay costs to the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well.

3. Considering the limited extent of relief sought for, this Court does not find it necessary to adjudicate the issue on merits.

4. After hearing both the sides, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P3 application preferred by the petitioner, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested parties, as expeditiously as possible, at the earliest, at any rate, within 'two months' from the date of receipt of a copy
