J U D G M E N T

The petitioner had a regular permit up to 18.02.2015. The delayed application for renewal was submitted on 23.02.2015 along with sufficient explanation to explain the delay, is the contention.

2. In any event, the service had been operating till 18.02.2015. In such circumstance, there would be no impediment in issuing the temporary permit application under Section 87(1)(C) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The temporary application shall be considered and the same shall be issued within a period of one week from today, if there is no other legal impediment. The renewal application will also be placed before the next RTA meeting. The writ petition is disposed of.
