J U D G M E N T
The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers:
"i) to issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ order or direction directing the 1st respondent to issue a certificate as applied for under Exhibit P2 and a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider Exhibit P4 application and issue a police clearance certificate to the petitioner;
2) to issue such other directions as this Honourable Court may deem fit to grant on the facts and circumstances of the case ."
2. Petitioner is aggrieved of delay on the part of the first respondent/Station House Officer in considering Ext.P2 application for police clearance certificate, which is required for submitting Ext.P4 application before the Superintendent of Police. When the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is given to the first respondent to consider and dispose of Ext.P2 within a reasonable time.

4. Considering the limited nature of relief sought for, this Court does not find it necessary to adjudicate the issue on merits. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent/Station House Officer to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P2, at the earliest, at any rate, within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment. The petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the first respondent for further steps.
