JUDGMENT
Shaffique, J.
Petitioner has approached this Court for police protection, inter alia, contending that respondents 3 to 5, who are money lenders, having obtained certain blank signed stamp papers from the petitioner is insisting that unless he transfers his family property in their name, he will be killed. Though the petitioner had given a complaint to the police, alleging the aforesaid incident, no action has been taken by the police in the matter. 2.
Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner was running an illegal kuri by offering home appliances to various persons, he had collected money from more than 500 people in the said locality who
W.P.C. No. 7017 of 2015 - G have been demanding money from the petitioner. Petitioner is absconding and in order to avoid the demand from the creditors, this Writ Petition has been filed.
3. Having heard the learned Government Pleader, we do not think that this is a fit case in which direction for police protection can be granted. Police can interfere only if there is any law and order situation. We only observe that if there is any threat to the life of the petitioner, the petitioner can approach the police and the police shall look into the matter and do the needful.
Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Sd/-ASHOK BHUSHAN , Ag. CHIEF JUSTICE Sd/- A.M.SHAFFIQUE, JUDGE ani/ /true copy/ P.S. to Judge
