J U D G M E N T

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking for police protection inter alia contending that respondents 4 and 5 are attempting to threaten the petitioner and her child and is unnecessarily harassing them. It is submitted that respondents 4 and 5 are business persons. The petitioner's husband was working as a salesman in their business concern for the last 21⁄2 years. His service was terminated with effect from 23.1.2015 without giving notice and false complaints have been raised against him alleging pilferage of articles. Now, respondents 4 and 5 are threatening the petitioner as well as her child. Though complaints were filed before the police for appropriate protection, no action has been taken in the matter and hence, the petitioner has approached this Court.

Learned Government Pleader on instructions would submit that complaints have been filed by respondents 4 and 5 alleging theft against husband and sister of the petitioner. A
W.P.(C) No.7433 of 2015 -: 2 :- crime has been registered and they were arrested. The allegation is that they have committed theft of articles valuing `1,60,000/-. Further it is submitted that in so far as the petitioner is concerned, there is no threat as alleged.

Having regard to the aforesaid factual situation, we do not think it necessary to issue any order as such. However, we only observe that if there is any offence being committed or attempt to commit offence, on the complaint of the petitioner, the police shall look into the matter and do the needful in accordance with law.
