Petitioner has approached this Court seeking police nd respondent, her protection, inter alia, contending that the 2 husband is disturbing her and threatening her at her workplace as well as in the hostel where she is residing at present. nd respondent, 2.
It is submitted that on 12-10-2014, the 2 under intoxication of alcohol came to the house where they were residing and committed cruelty and also attempted to commit murder. Petitioner had to escape from the house and took shelter in the neighbouring house. Petitioner is now residing in a hostel.

Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that on the complaint of the petitioner, both the parties were called to the police station, but the petitioner did not permit nd respondent. Police even the police to take a case against the 2 nd respondent offered to provide adequate protection to take the 2 to a de-addiction center which she did not want to.
5. Having regard to the aforesaid submission, we do not think that a direction as sought for can be granted. However, we observe that, if there is any threat or offence being committed by nd respondent, on the complaint of the petitioner, the police the 2 shall look into the matter and do the needful. This Writ Petition is disposed of as above.
