JUDGMENT

The petitioner is the holder of a regular permit which expired on 31.12.2011. The petitioner has filed an application for renewal well within time and also has made an application for replacement of the vehicle endorsed in the permit. The petitioner contends that, there is delay in considering the said application and in the meanwhile, the petitioner was issued with a temporary permit. The petitioner seeks issuance of temporary permit under Section 87(1)(c) of the Kerala Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

2. In the above circumstances, the petitioner having a regular permit, the renewal of which is pending consideration along with the replacement application, it is only proper

WP(C).7734/15 that the same be considered and issued within a period of two weeks from today, if there is no other legal impediment.

Writ petition disposed of.
