JUDGMENT

The petitioners have approached this Court with the following prayers:

"a. Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the first respondent to consider the petitioners' application SM 121/2015 for the grant of purchase Certificate pending consideration and pass orders within a specified period. b. Grant such other reliefs as this Honourable Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case."

2. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well.

3. After hearing both the sides, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the 1st respondent/Deputy Collector (Land reforms) to finalize the 'suo moto proceedings' as above, in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioners and all the parties concerned as expeditiously as possible. Certificate, if any, shall be issued at the earliest, at any rate, within 'six months' from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The petitioners shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the 1st respondent for further steps. P.R. RAMACHANDRA MENON, JUDGE.
