JUDGMENT

The issue pertains to the monetary benefits due to the petitioners consequent upon the promotion to the post of Overseer(Electrical), in the Kerala State Electricity Board ( KSEB). The petitioners rely on the judgment of this Court in O.P. No.21479/2000. This Court in the above judgment directed to promote employees from the post of Meter Reader to the post of Overseer(Electrical) and to fill up all vacancies of Overseer(Electrical) with all consequential benefits including seniority. The petitioners submit that though they were promoted as Overseer, they were not given monitory benefits.

2. In view of the above judgment and also another judgment of this Court in W.P.(C) No.28130 of 2014, there shall be a direction to the respondents to grant all monitory benefits due to the petitioners from 23/7/2000 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
