ANIL K.NARENDRAN, J -------------------------------------------------- W.P.(C.)No.9286 Of 2015 -------------------------------------------------- DATED THIS THE 27th DAY OF OCTOBER, 2015

JUDGMENT

The petitioner who is working as Junior Assistant in the 2nd respondent Company has filed this Writ Petition seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the 2nd respondent to promote her as First Assistant with effect from 1.9.2014. She has also sought for various other reliefs.

2.

By order dated 1.4.2015, this Court passed an interim order to the effect that the 2nd respondent shall not fill up the vacancies of First Assistant without obtaining orders from this Court.

3.

Today when the case was taken up for further consideration, the learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent would point out that Exts.P2 and P4 representations submitted by the petitioner are now pending consideration before the 2nd respondent and the said respondent shall consider and pass appropriate orders thereon within a time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

W.P.(C).No.9286/15 -24.

Heard arguments of the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent and also the learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent.

5.

Considering the fact that Exts.P2 and P4 representations submitted by the petitioner highlighting her grievance are now pending consideration before the 2nd respondent, I deem it appropriate to dispose of this Writ Petition without going into the merits of the rival contentions. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Exts.P2 and P4 representations submitted by the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Till then the 2nd respondent shall not fill up the vacancies of First Assistant.
