Dated this the 25th day of March, 2015 J U D G M E N T The petitioner, who is faced with revenue recovery proceedings, for recovery of motor vehicle tax, seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P3 application, that has been filed by him before the said respondent, seeking benefit of the One Time Settlement Scheme that is in vogue.
2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for the respondents. On a consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case as also the submissions made across the bar, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P3 application seeking the benefit of one time settlement, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after hearing the petitioner. I make it clear that recovery steps pursuant to Ext.P2 notice shall be kept in abeyance till such time as orders are passed by the 2nd respondent as directed, and communicated to the petitioner.
