J U D G M E N T

The petitioner seeks for re-issue of substitute temporary permit in a defaulted vacancy.

2. The learned Government Pleader contends that, the temporary permit can be granted only for 20 days, since, the delegation is only for that period. There can be no delegation for a specific period. If there is delegation for issuance of substitute temporary permit, then there would be no legal impediment in issuing of temporary permit for four months and it would be unnecessary for the stage carriage operators to come frequently to the authority to get re-issuance of temporary permit. If there is need for the service and there is no legal impediment, then the authority shall re-issue the temporary permit for four months. The writ petition is disposed of.
